Metys EnVisaGES

A branch of the INRAE Transfert Business Unit at ECOSYS

A subsidiary of INRAE, INRAE Transfert (https://metys-inrae-transfert.fr/en/home/) is a project engineering and technology transfer company whose activities are organized around 6 divisions to support INRAE and its partners in running projects aimed at developing public-private partnerships and transferring research results to the socio-economic world. The Business Unit is one of these divisions, responsible for offering services to companies based on INRAE know-how. Metys EnVisaGES is one of the service lines offered by the Business Unit since 2018.

EnVisaGES provides various economic players (private companies, technical institutes, academic partners, chambers of agriculture, etc.) with services and resources based on the know-how of UMR EcoSys. EnVisaGES offers services for the analysis of air concentrations of these various gaseous compounds, and engineering services for the measurement of their emissions under practical farming conditions or under controlled laboratory conditions: measurement of GHG emissions in the field with static chambers; measurement of ammonia emissions in the field with the Volat'NH3 method and measurement of ammonia volatilization potential with Caract'Air (CARACTérisation des potentiels de volatilisation d'AmmonIac en paRcelle agricole) then of GHGs (CO2, N2O and CH4 with the IMNOA device (Integrated Mesocosms for N2O Assessments). The range of services on offer has diversified, and the catalog of services has been enriched (https://metys-inrae-transfert.fr/en/offer/offer-agronomy/) with modeling services to complement gas emission measurements, for example with the CERES-EGC and Volt'Air models, to support nitrogen and carbon valorization strategies for innovative cropping systems with the STICS and PROLEG models, or in synergy with the implementation of the Low-Carbon Label using the AMG-IT model.

New experimental facilities designed in anticipation of our arrival on the Agro Campus in Saclay are now playing a structuring role in our activities.
